My name is Joan. When I grow up, my dream is to be a doctor.

My Day

I wake up early in the morning, make I walk a distance at about 2 kilometers to reach my school. I get back from school at around 2 pm. I walk another 1 kilometer to go get water for drinking and cooking. I live with three of my siblings. My friend’s name is Sarah. My favorite game/sport is volleyball.

My Community

I live in a village that is in the south-western part of Uganda. In my area, we buy things like salt for cooking, clothes, books, pencils to use in school. I sleep in a semi-permanent house. It is a mud house thatched with iron sheets.

My Prayer

Pray for me to have school fees. Pray for God to give me a good life and future. I also need books and a school uniform. Please pray to God that He will answer our prayers.
