My name is Beatrice.

My Day

I wake up early in the morning sweep in the house and get ready for school. At school, I play netball during break time with my friends. When I get back from school at around 2 pm, I eat lunch and go to walk another 3 kilometres to go get water for cooking and drinking. I live with both my grandmother and 5 cousins.

My Community

I live in a rural village in the south-western part of Uganda. Our nearest town is where we go for buying things like books, pens, and pencils. I sleep in a mud house thatched with iron sheets. Most of the houses surrounding our house are temporary houses.

My Prayer

My grandmother is sick and she needs God’s healing. I need school fees to stay in school and finish my education. I need a school uniform and books, pens and pencils to do well in class. Pray for my family to be able to have enough food. I hope God will provide for us.
