Age: 11

My name is Sincere. My position in class was 52 out of 120 pupils. Once I finish school, I want to be a farmer.

My Day

I wake up early in the morning sweep in the house and get ready for school. At school, I play netball during break time with my friends. When I get back from school at around 2 pm, I eat lunch and go to collect firewood for cooking food. I lost my mother and I live with my father and my step mother and 4 of my siblings.

My Community

I live in a rural village in south-western part of Uganda. It is a trading center where we go for buying things like books, pens, and pencils. I sleep in a mud house thatched with iron sheets. Most of the houses surrounding our house are grass thatched houses.

My Prayer

Pray that we have rain to make our crops grow and we can harvest food. I need school fees to stay in school and finish my education. I need a school uniform and books, pens and pencils to do well in class.
