My name is Susan. Once I finish school, my dream is to be a Nurse.

My Day

I wake up early in the morning doing household chores of sweeping the house, washing plates then bathing ready for school. I walk a distance of  2 kilometres to reach my school. When I get back from school at around 2 pm, I walk another 2 kilometres to go get water for cooking. I live with both my parents, my one brother, Asafu, and 4 of my sisters.

My Community

I live in a rural village in south-western part of Uganda. Our nearest town is where we buy things like books, pens, pencils to use in school. I sleep in a mud house thatched with grass and most of the houses surrounding our house are temporary houses.

My Prayer

What I need in my life is a good shelter, like a house which does not leak when it rains, with lights where I can read I need shoes and a school uniform which I pray to God that He will provide what I need.
