My name is Loveness.

My Day

I wake up at 4:00 am, study, sweep around my house, clean dishes, bathe and go to school. After school, I go to Rise Malawi. When I get home, I draw water, play, and make dinner. I go to bed at around 8:00 pm. I sleep on a mat.

My Community

I live in a village with most of the houses are grass-thatched with a mud floor. My house has a grass roof with a mud floor and wooden windows. Our market is a 30 minutes’ walk away from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as fish, sugar, soap, and vegetables. Most people grow corn which is our staple food. In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school because of lack of school supplies, school uniforms, and other things. Girls get married early and become teen mothers, and Boys work on farms for long hours. I live with my Mum, Dad, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
