My name is Debora. When I grow up, I want to become a Nurse.

My Day

I wake up at 6 am to get some water from the borehole. Then I take a shower getting ready to be in class by 7:15 am. I come out of school around 3 PM. In the afternoon I chat with my friends and do some cleaning in my room. In the evening I study with my friends before going to bed. I mostly do my laundry on Saturday, on Sunday I go to church.

My Community

I live in the southern part of Malawi. The house we live in is small rectangular in shape with grass-thatched. There are many similar houses in my village. Most of the houses are in poor condition and leak during the rainy season. I live with my Mother and Brother.

My Prayer

Pray that my family has enough food, and for my education, that I find resources to remain in school.
