I am Chrifford Banda. I am 15 years old.

My Day

I wake up at 5:50 am, sweep the house, and go school. My school is a 2 hour walk from my house. After school, I eat lunch, wash dishes, and hang out with my friends. After dinner, I listen to the radio, study and go to bed after 8 pm. I sleep on a bed, but many of my friends sleep on mats.

My Community

I live village where most of the houses are grass thatched roofs with mud floors. Our house has an iron sheet roof and glass windows. My village has a clinic and a market. The market has food stuff like; fish and sweet potatoes. Most people grow corn, which is our staple food. Many girls in my village get married in their teen years. Both boys and girls work on farms. I live with my Mum, Dad, 1 Brother and 2 Sisters.
