My name is Kennedy.

My Day

I wake up at 6:90 am, sweep around my house, bathe and go to school. After school, I go to Rise Malawi. When I get home, I eat and clean dishes. I go to bed at around 8:00 pm. I sleep on a mat.

My Community

I live in a village that has no hospital, and most of the houses are grass-thatched with a mud floor. My house is grass-thatched with a mud floor and wooden windows. Our market is a 20 minute walk from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as vegetables, soap, sugarcanes, and sweet potatoes. Most people grow corn which is our staple food. In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school anytime because of a lack of parental support. Parents take their children to gardens during school time to raise money for basic needs. I live with my Mum, Dad, 2 Brothers and 4 Sisters.
