Age: 10

My name is Trucy. My position in class was 61st out of 113 pupils.

My Day

I wake up early in the morning and get ready for school. At school, I play netball during break time with my friends. When I get back from school at around 2 pm, I eat lunch and go to collect firewood for cooking food. I live with my guardian who picked me on street and I have never seen any of my parents. I don’t have any of my siblings to stay with.

My Community

I live in a rural village in the south-western part of Uganda.  It is a trading centre where we go for buying things like books, pens, and pencils.  I sleep in a semi-permanent house with iron sheets used as our roof. Most of the houses surrounding our house are grass thatched houses.

My Prayer

Pray for my family to have peace from God. I need school fees to stay in school and finish my education.  I need a school uniform and books, pens and pencils to do well in class.   I hope God will answer your prayers for me.
