My name is Derrick. I want to be a doctor in future.

My Day

I wake up early in the morning sweep in the house and get ready for school. At school, I play football (soccer) during break time with my friends. When I get back from school at around 2pm, I eat lunch and go to walk another 3kil­ometres to get water for cooking and drinking. I live with my mother, sister and brother.

My Community

I live in a rural village in the south-western part of Uganda. A trading centre is our nearest town where we go for buying things like books, pens, and pencils. I sleep in a mud house thatched with iron sheets. Most of the houses surrounding our house are temporary houses.

My Prayer

For my school, I need school fees to go to school and finish my education. I need a school uniform and books, pens and pencils to do well in class. Pray for my family to be able to have enough food. I hope God will fulfill your prayers for us.
