My name is Rodwell.

My Day

I wake up at 5:00 am, sweep around my house, clean dishes, and bathe. I leave home at 6:00 am for Rise Malawi.  I start classes at 7:30 am and finish at 3:20 pm. When I get home, I clean dishes and go to bed around 8 pm. I sleep on a mat.

My Community

I live in a village with no hospital. Most of the houses are grass-thatched with a mud floor. Our market is 15 minutes’ walk away from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as vegetables, dry fish, lotion, soap, and tomatoes. Most people grow corn, and it is our staple food. In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school because of lack of school fees, and they get married or work on people’s gardens. Boys end up becoming fathers at a young age. I live with my Parents and 2 sisters.

My Prayer

Pray for provision of a school bag, school shoes, pens, pencils, and pray for me to have good health.
