My Day

I wake up at 5:30 am, sweep around my house, bathe and go to school. After school, I go to Rise Malawi. When I get home, I clean the dishes and go to bed around 8 pm. I sleep on a mat.

My Community

I live in a village that has one market. Most of the houses are grass-thatched with mud floor. My house has iron sheet roof with mud floor and grass windows. Our market is a 20 minute walk from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as bananas, sweet potatoes and vegetables. Most people grow corn which is our staple food. In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school anytime because of lack of basic needs like school supplies, food and school uniform. Most of them get married early. I live with my Mum, 3 Brothers and 1 Sister.
