My name is Innocent.

My Day

I wake up at 4:00 am, sweep around my house, study, eat, bathe and go to school. After school, I go to Rise Malawi. When I get home, I eat, study, and find jobs in people’s gardens like applying manure and harvesting. I go to bed at around 10:00 pm. I sleep on a mat.

My Community

I live in a village that has one hospital. Most of the houses are grass-thatched with a mud floor. Our market is a 10 minute walk from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as vegetables, soy, and corn. I get my clothes from kind people. Most people grow corn which is our staple food. In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school because of lack of school fees. They end up smoking Indian Hemp and drinking very strong local beer. I live with my Mum and 2 Brothers.
