My name is Wezzie.

My Day

I wake up at 5:30 am, sweep around my house, make fire and heat water for my bath, eat breakfast, and go to school. After school, I go to RiseMalawi. When I get home, I clean dishes, study, and go to bed around 8 pm. I sleep on a mat.

My Community

I live in a village that has no hospital or clinic. Most of the houses are grass-thatched with a mud floor. My house is one of them, and our market is a 20 minutes’ walk. It has many kinds of goods such as vegetables, soy, and sweet potatoes. Most people grow corn, and it is our staple food. In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school because of lack of basic needs like food. Girls get married early while boys work on farms. I raise money by milling corn and drawing water for people, and have been buying clothes for myself since 2017. I live with my Mum, Dad, 5 Sisters and 3 Brothers.

My Prayer

I pray that God should give me long life and that He should supply me school resources.
