My name is Chisomo.

My Day

I wake up at 4:00am, sweep around my house, wash dishes, mop my house, eat breakfast, and go to school. After school, I water trees, study, and eat dinner. I go to bed around 9pm and I sleep on a bed.

My Community

I live in a village, most of the houses have grass thatched roofs and mud floors. Our house has an iron sheet roof and cement floor. It has walls with burnt bricks. Our market is a 30 minute walk from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as beef, tomatoes, sugar, soap, and fertilizer. Most people grow corn which is our staple food. In my village, many boys lack tuition fees. Most of them live in houses that leak when it is raining. I live with my Mum, 1 Brother and 2 Sisters.
