My name is Witness.

My Day

I wake up at 5:30 am to study, clean dishes, bathe, eat, and go to school. After school, I go to Rise Malawi. When I get home, I draw water and make dinner for my family. I go to bed at around 8:00 pm. I sleep on a mat.

My Community

I live in a village where most of the houses are grass-thatched with a mud floor. My house is grass thatched with a mud floor and wooden windows. Our market is a 20 minute walk from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as vegetables, fish and sweet potatoes. Most people grow corn which is our staple food. In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school because of lack of school supplies, school uniforms, and other things. Girls get married early while boys work on farms. I live with my Mum, Dad, 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
