My name is Abel. When I grow up, I want to be a Lawyer, because I want to serve the poor people who have always been denied their rights in society.

My Day

Getting up in the morning, thinking about where my next meal will come from, fetch water for the house, go to school (most times hungry), go to Camp Hope on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, go home, find something to eat, most times at night, and go to sleep.

My Community

I live in a slum community where there are many houses built with old zincs and wood (makeshift structures that are used as shelter by the residents). On weekends, we the children, gather in an unfinished building to tell stories and play (spelling) games, which we enjoy. Those who live in this community are from different ethnic backgrounds and are mostly very small business owners (petty traders).

My Prayer

Please pray for my education, food, clothes, and a better place to live. And that God will send me a sponsor who will pay for my education.
